With Nero CoverDesigner, you can insert and edit a background. You can insert or edit the backgrounds for all the cover elements of a document at the same time or insert or edit the background of a cover element separately.
To insert a background and edit its properties, proceed as follows:

- If you want to insert or edit the background for the current cover element, click the Object > Background Properties menu.
If you want to insert or edit the background for all cover elements, click the Edit > Change All Backgrounds menu.

- The Background Properties window is opened.

- If you want to create a colored background:
- 1.
- Click the Brush tab.
- 2.
- Select a color and a style, if desired.
- 3.
- If you want to insert a background image:
- 1.
- Click the Image tab.
- 2.
- Select an picture file in the Picture Source area.

- The image is displayed in the Image preview area. The Stretch Mode area is active.
- 3.
- In the Stretch Mode area, specify how the background image is scaled.
- 4.
- Apply any desired effects to the picture.

- Click the OK button.

- The background is displayed according to your settings.
